Smurf Solitaire

Smurf Solitaire Instructions

The object of Smurf Solitaire is to create four piles of cards - one per suit - in ascending order. You move the cards around by using your mouse. You play the game by placing alternating color cards (red and black) in descending order on the seven stacks. Each time you play a card from a stack, you turn over a new card. Keep playing until you run out of moves or you win the game by creating four complete piles!

Smurf Solitaire Instructions - How to play Solitaire

How do I play Smurf Solitaire?

Cards have four suits: red hearts, red diamonds, black clubs, and black spades. Your goal is to create four piles at the top, one for each suit, in ascending order. Ascending order means that you start with the Ace or "A", then add the 2, then the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack (J), Queen (Q), and King (K). Once you complete these four piles, you win the game!

FOUR EMPTY SPOTS
The goal is to fill each of the four piles or "empty spots" with a single suit of cards. Start with the ace on the bottom and proceed in order all the way up to the King on top. If at any time, you have a face-up Ace ("A"), you may place it on one of the "empty spots". Then if an Ace is already laid down and you have a face-up two card of the same suit, you may place it on top of the ace; if a two is already laid down and you have a face-up three of the same suit, you may place it on top of the two and so on. If all four spots are filled in this manner, you win the game.

PLAYING CARDS IN THE STACKS
You play the game by moving your cards around with the mouse. Drag and drop a card into place. If it is an illegal move, you will not be allowed to do it! You play a move in the stacks by placing alternating color cards (red & black) in descending order. For example, if you have a Red Four showing, you can move a Black Three on top of it. Another example, if you have a Black Jack showing, you can move a Red Ten on top of it. The cards must go in an alternating color pattern: red / black / red / black etc... or black / red / black / red etc... The cards must also go in decreasing order (cards decreasing in rank): King - Queen - Jack - 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - Ace.

CORRECT ORDER
The Four Piles must be played in order as well. Start with the Ace, then the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King. And these four piles must each be in the same suit (ie. all hearts in one pile, all diamonds in one pile, all clubs in one pile, and all spades in one pile). An example of a complete pile would be Ace of Spades, 2 of Spades, 3 of Spades, 4 of Spades....10 of Spades, Jack of Spades, Queen of Spades, and King of Spades.

When you play a card (ie. move it to a new spot), you get access to the card underneath. You turn that new card over by clicking it. If there are no new cards underneath, you will have an empty space in the stacks. You can only move KING cards into this empty space.

Note that you can move single cards or groups of cards - so long as they stay in descending order with alternating colors.

OUT OF MOVES
Use the pile of Smurfette cards on the top left to get new cards. This pile is where you will go to get more cards if you run out of moves. Keep playing until you can play no more. When there are no more moves available then you lose. When you have four complete piles of cards in the top four spots - then you win!
