In America Smurfs are on Boomerang. They're not on Cartoon Network much anymore (They really should change the name to "The Scooby Doo and Wapanese Anime Channel") Smurfs are on Boomerang at 8 a.m., 4 p.m., and midnight.
I can't help you on Canadian channels, but I'll be on the lookout though ^-^!

Hi Kara,
The Smurfs are shown during the week on Boomerang, which is a cable/satellite channel (from the makers of Cartoon Network). For me, it's on during lunch, from noon 'til 12:30 (although it is shown at other times throughout the day in a programming "loop").
A lot of people still don't get Boomerang on their cable system, so they'll only be able to catch an occasional special (like Tis the Season to be Smurfy) throughout Christmastime on Cartoon Network.
But that doesn't help you, though, Kara, because you don't have cable. Fret not! DIC Entertainment syndicates "educational" cartoons and will be including The Smurfs as part of their programming package in 2005. Check your local over-the-air / broadcast stations for time and channel. The Smurfs (and the rest of the DIC shows) will be on sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Rant mode on:
So how do I know when The Smurfs will be on? Simple...It's the law. The Children's Television Act of 1990 requires broadcast / over-the-air television stations to show educational programs as part of their license requriements. TV stations that show at least three hours of educational programming get speedy licensing approval.
So DIC Entertainment shoved together a pile of their old programs into a three hour block and rebranded it the DIC Kids’ Network. DIC goes from town to town selling the program as a solution to a TV channel's "education" problem. How on earth they managed to get a block of programming featuring the cartoon version of Mary Kate and Ashley approved as "educational" is beyond me - maybe the girls teach about the importance of good eating habits...
Which brings us back to our beloved Smurfs. The episodes that have been selected for inclusion by DIC are the "issues" episodes (Just Say No!, Fire Safety is Fun, etc.), so perhaps this is how they meet the educational standard the FCC has set. Still, they're actual Smurfs episodes and they'll be shown for free, over the air, for all to see.
Rant mode off.
This brings me to the Canadian channels. The only real way you're going to see The Smurfs regularly is by getting a DirecTV or Dish Network satellite dish. Like xSmurfettex, I'll keep my eyes peeled to see if it shows up on a Canuck channel.
