Hi Jenna, to remove general dirt and grime the easiest method is a soft toothbrush and washing up liquid. This will normally remove most things, ink however is much harder to get rid of. I have heard of people using bleach and other strong products but I would be very wary because even if there is no immediate damage the PVC of the figures can react at a later date.
