The Smurfs Chia Pet
Handmade Decorative Planter
Chia Pets are styled terracotta figurines used to sprout chia plants. The chia seeds are placed in cavities on the figurine, watered, and allowed to sprout. The sprouts grow within a couple of weeks to resemble the animal's fur or hair.
The Smurfs Chia Pet is a fun and interactive craft that allows you to create a chia plant with your favorite Smurf character - Papa Smurf or Smurfette! Each Chia Pet box includes a handmade terracotta decorative planter (either Papa Smurf or Smurfette), a packet of Chia seeds for 3 plantings, convenient plastic drip tray, and care instructions. It takes about 1-2 weeks to grow and can be replanted indefinitely.
The Smurfs Chia Pet is manufactured by Joseph Enterprises, Inc.

Chia Pets have been around since 1977. They were originally sold in magic shops. The Chia Pet became a big hit with the Chia Ram in 1982. A range of cute animals have been produced, including a turtle, pig, puppy, kitten, frog, hedgehog, and hippopotamus.
Fun movie, TV and cartoon characters have also been licensed Chia Pets, including Garfield, Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes, Shrek, The Simpsons, SpongeBob, Stitch, Groot, Minions, and Hello Kitty. Additionally, there are Chia Pets depicting people / celebrities like Bob Ross, Willie Nelson, Elvira, Indiana Jones or even The Golden Girls.
The catchphrase sung in the TV commercial (as the plant grows in time lapse) is "Ch-ch-ch-chia!" This catchphrase originated at an brainstorming meeting, where one of the individuals pretended to stutter the product name, thus creating the famous catchy tune!
