Hey everyone, just curious if anyone has seen this angry Smurf with red gums before. I can’t seem to find it anywhere or if it even exists.

Hello there, Gus362, welcome! It's the first time I've ever seen an Angry Smurf like yours, for this model usually has black gums:
Large mold - black gums
Small mold - red gums
Small mold - black gums

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering if it is super rare or if it isn’t even authentic. Looks fine to me but I’m no expert!

Thanks for reply but no, the search of the gallery does not bring up my Smurf. Similar shape/model but only black gums.

Does your Smurf have any marks, such as "Peyo", for example? If so, would you mind showing them?

I have not seen your version. It could be legitimate, but I have never seen one like that and I have been collecting for a long time. (A partially-painted raw Angry Smurf exists, but I have only seen one).
The large mold that has been around for decades has black gums. The new large mold re-release has black gums.
Your smurf could be a hand-painted re-color.
There is a lot of variation in how Smurfs are painted. Showing us all the markings on your Smurf will help a lot.

I agree that the mold is authentic Squeaky. I question whether or not it has been re-painted.
I have never seen a large mold Angry Smurf with red gums in all my days.

Thank you both Squeaky and PeazJelly. I wish there was a way to authenticate this one, specifically the red gums. The shade of red seems similar to the red on the small mold version and looks definitely old. I’ve had this (and many others) for most of my life (40+ years) and have never myself touched any of them up. They have been sitting in a bag in a storage box for probably 20 plus years at least. Unfortunately I can’t confirm where it was purchased or who may have had it previously. I am wanting to sell so want to make sure the item is accurate and legit. Thanks again.

You're smurfy welcome. And as Peazjelly meant, it may be either repainted or then the person responsible for its finishing may have been distracted and painted its gums red.
