Hello.
I don't have room to display all my Smurf figures (Schleich, Bully, etc.), so most are in storage boxes.
They are stored in 4mm thick poly zip bags. But, lately I have noticed paint rubs that I think were caused by the figure rubbing against the bag (when putting the figure in or taking it out).
Now, I am planning on wrapping the figures in archival tissue paper and placing that in 2mm poly bags (which aren't as stiff as 4mm). I would write the Smurf # on the bag so I know who is inside.
Any opinions?
How do you store your Smurfs?
Thank you!

Welcome Otaku Smurf!
I store my Smurf figures is a similar way. I keep them in separate numbered plastic bags and sorted in a drawer system. Tissue paper for the special / rare / sentimental ones. Probably should do tissue for all of them. The key for me to avoid rubs is making sure I don't over pack the drawers.
Sunlight or smoke (if you smoke) will damage the Smurfs over time so I am mindful of that. I don't smoke. And I don't keep them in sunlight or anywhere that gets too hot.
I do however have many on display. I love to enjoy them. And in random places too... like a little Chef Smurf that stands on the shelf of my spice rack in the kitchen. Makes me smile everyday when I cook!

Sunlight made my Smurf turn yellow! The apples and basket look good but Clumsy's hat and pants are yellow!
I had him near the window for a year and the sun did it I am sure. No sun for Smurfs!

Thank you for the input Sassette! I have gotten the 2mm bags and am just waiting on the tissue paper.
Placing the Smurfs in random places sounds fun! But with my 5 mischievous Azraels, the poor Smurfs would be doomed...
