It was a promising misty morning in Smurf village. The sun was rising as harmony played his trumpet. Grouchy Smurf was snug in his bed, saying all the things he hated in his sleep. "I hate Gargamel, I hate waking up, I hate sleeping, I hate- "Papa Smurf has a very important announcement" Brainy said while he rudely barged into Grouchy's mushroom. "I HATE important announcements, but I love Papa Smurf" Grouchy said to himself. As he left his mushroom, he stepped on a broom, and it went straight into his nose. "I hate breaking my nose" he said. As Grouchy Smurf walked outside to listen to Papa Smurf's announcement, he bumped into Clumsy Smurf. "Gee, sorry Grouchy!" Grouchy Smurf had already landed in Smurfette's flowers. "Oh, Grouchy Smurf," Smurfette shrieked "Look at what you did!" Grouchy Smurf knew there was something wrong. He listened to Papa Smurf's announcement. "We have a shortage of Smurf berries-" "Oh, no!" the crowd of Smurfs shouted in reply to Papa. "How will I make my pies?" said Greedy. "I guess you'll just have to wait Greedy." "Or not Papa Smurf!" Handy said. "Farmer and I have been working restlessly on a new berry picking machine!" "I hate Smurfberry picking machines!" Grouchy said. "GROUCHY!" All of the Smurfs said in sync. Lazy Smurf woke up from his nap. "What?" "Where am I?" "I was having such a nice dream." "Lazy, we're looking for someone to drive the Smurfberry picking machine, would you like to drive it?" said Farmer. "I guess I could try." Lazy said. Lazy mounted the machine and turned it on. (click this link to see the picture.) Before the machine even got to pick any Smurf berries, Lazy had fallen asleep. To make matters worse, the machine was going toward Grouchy. Grouchy had just been flung all the way into the pond Infront of Gargamel's layer!
"I hate getting flung into Gargamel's pond by a Smurfberry picker machine!" "And I HATE Gargamel!"
Inside Gargamels tower, he was casting a spell that would give him the location of the closest Smurf. ![[Gargamel]](graemlins/gargamel.gif) "I hope this works Azrael!" Gargamel said. "Two droplets of frog spit, 3 rotten egg yolks, and one hair of a cat." "Meow!" Azrael screeched! "Alright, here we go." "Show me the location of the nearest Smurf, this is the spell to find where Smurfs dwell, show me the creatures blue and small, show me one of them who will lead me to them all!" Suddenly, a golden spot appeared on his map. "No," he yelled "This can't be!" Gargamel frantically started flipping the pages of his spellbook. "This must be wrong!" "Well, I might as well check." Back in Smurf Village Brainy was calculating and analyzing the approximate coordinates of where Grouchy would land at what angle he would be at. "Alright, my Smurfs! We need to search for Grouchy!" said Papa Smurf "Yeah! and if someone took him, we'll teach them a lesson!" said Hefty. "Nonsense Hefty, Nonsense. Papa Smurf always says that violence is NEVER the solutio-" Brainy was kicked into the well bucket. "When will I learn?" Brainy said. "Let's form a search party and look for Grouchy!" Papa said. Back at Gargamel's layer, he had already found Grouchy Smurf. "Alright, you disgusting little blue creature!" "Show me where Smurf Village is, and I'll let you go!" "I hate telling people where the location of Smurf village is! Said Grouchy. "Well, I guess I'll only have one Smurf for dinner, Azrael!" THE END
