It could possibly be because of his username. A moderator or the administrator could've thought his name implied pedophilia. Ask Papa Smurf why and maybe your friend can appeal and create an account under a name that doesn't make implications of attraction to minors. For example, "Smurflings are adorable!" or "Smurflings are cool."
