I have a question. The Smurf shown in the photo is not "genuine".
Written across the back of the figure's arms it has the usual text found in a genuine smurf
figure but it appears that the figure was made by W. BERRIE CO, Inc of Hong Kong.
Is this figure a forgery or perhaps a contractor?

Hi again! Since Smurfette (a Super Smurf by the way) has the same text as well as WB CO., no doubt she's a genuine Smurf figure. [Smurfette]

Hi again indeed. You have just opened the door to an entirely new group of Smurfs.
I knew they existed but inasmuch as I've just gotten involved with this hobby for about 2 weeks now the extent of it is astounding.
I'm sure there will be many more questions to come because I just found a container full of smurf figures a couple of weeks ago. Many of them I purchased when I was in Belgium on business before I retired. I'd found a small shop near my hotel in Brussels that specialized in Smurfs and I bought a few to bring back to my son on every trip. Evidently he got quite a few more from sources that I knew nothing about.
Thank you so much for your help as I venture into this new hobby.
