Is there a variant for the Pointing Smurf? I have one whose hands are in a different position. Left hand finger points up at 45 degree angle and right hand palm faces front. the eye brows are different, too. All the identification appears genuine except the Hong Kong reads right to left. I suspect a forgery but...?

Smurfy welcome, DaFaddahCVD! Would you mind posting a pic of your little friend? Just reminding that several genuine Schleich Smurf figurines are made in Hong Kong as well as in China and Portugal, not in Germany only. About their details (eyebrows, mouthlines, so on), it depends on the people who have finished them, since they're handpainted. Here's an example:

Hoping it helps for now!

Many thanks for your reply. I've tried to send a photo of the markings on his feet of the figure standing. This is the first time I've tried to send an attachment. I hope it's what you want. If not then please help me to get it right.

Thanks a smurf for sending the picture, it got much easier to find your Smurf. He's in fact an Astro Smurf! Here's yours:
Your little space traveler must have lost his helmet a certain time ago. It looks to have been made of a very fragile plastic.

Many thanks for clearing that up! Of course now I have a new, unforeseen challenge to find the helmet. I have some hope that it may be among three large containers with all kinds of figures from Sesame Street, etc. that emerged at the same time I found the Smurfs. I'll let you know what I find when I emerge from the safari. All the best,
