Hey y'all! Soglad I found your group. Ny son and I enjoyed the Smurfs so much 30 years ago:) I found a green plush Poppa Smurf and don't know anything about him. Can you please help?

Hello there and welcome to Bluebuddies, Missfancy! According to this link your Papa Smurf is a vintage Christmas (hence the green instead of blue) plush dated from 1979, so pretty rare. Hoping this helps!

Thank you so much for your response! I purchased a bag of plush anumals from thrift shop, to wash up and use for my kindergarteners. He was in the bag and I was puzzled right away. I don't remember him but we didn't get into Smurfs until the early 80's. I'm listing him on ebay as I don't have room to display him at home and don't want kinders to destroy him, ha ha.

Reminds me of the purposely misleading Cartoon Network bumper for the Smurfs in the 1990s, with Grouchy saying that Smurfs aren't blue but green.
