Well, the title says it all. For me, I'd have to say it's my Smurf bell. It's white china (or something like it), with blue trim, and 3 Smurf pictures all the way around. It's simple, but I think it's pretty cool.

It is very hard to choose!

I really like my ColecoVision Smurf Rescue in Gargamel's Castle cartridge because it has the original box and instructions - including a Canadian sticker from Coleco Canada Ltd. that was entirely in French that could be pasted over the standard USA/Canadian English cartridge.

PS One of the Smurf collector's books says that your bell is rare - if indeed yours is the one menioned in the book...

Really? Wow. I had no idea. The pictures are of all the characters in hot air balloons. Is this the same one that's in your book?

Another random question: Is ColecoVision pre or post-Atari? I've never even heard of it before.

To answer Darth's question: the ColecoVision came out in 1982, about four to five years after the introduction of the Atari 2600 (Video Computer System) and around the same time that the Atari 5200 Super System was released into the market.

Darth,

I'll have to look it up in that Smurf book. The problem is, the Smurf book is buried deep within the forest surrounding Smurf Village.

Unfortunately, I'm on crutches at the moment, so that kind of prohibits me from digging into the Pile of the Unknown (where the book is probably located), a scary and not oft-visited area. I do indeed recall seeing a bell listed as "rare" with the hot air balloons. There was a plate that had the same picture too.

Regarding the Coleco - if you want to try it out, go the the games section of the site.

emulation.net has lots of good emulators and information, too!

That's okay, Mr. Papa Smurf. I hope you get better soon.
