They're actually supposed to be Winter Solstice carols, which I should have mentioned somewhere in my posts, and that these would be songs the Smurfs would sing if they never even knew about the existence of Christmas. But thanks anyway. These were written in response to a rather late Christmas/Winter Solstice-themed EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story adaptation I created recently.

The holly and the ivy When they are both full grown Of all the trees that are in the woods The holly smurfs the crown
O, the rising of the sun The running of the deer The playing of the smurfy organ Sweet singing in the choir
The holly smurfs a blossom As white as lily flower And Mother Nature created us To smurf her praise in shower
O, the rising of the sun The running of the deer The playing of the smurfy organ Sweet singing in the choir
The holly smurfs a berry As red as Sharon's rose And Mother Nature created us To watch her forest grow
O, the rising of the sun The running of the deer The playing of the smurfy organ Sweet singing in the choir
The holly smurfs a prickle As sharp as any thorn And Mother Nature created us To crown her with each new morn
O, the rising of the sun The running of the deer The playing of the smurfy organ Sweet singing in the choir
The holly smurfs a bark As bitter as any gall And Mother Nature created us To be watchers over all
O, the rising of the sun The running of the deer The playing of the smurfy organ Sweet singing in the choir
