I just purchased this figure and it has what it appears to be a stamp on its hat. The stamp is an outline of leaves with 1985 in the middle and Peyo’s signature under it. Anyone have any information about a figure with those markings? I can’t find anything online.

I’m still new to the forum so I’m uncertain as to how to see an image if you included one, but yes, it’s. Schleich (six)

No problem.

Anyway, if you can post a close-up of your Smurf's head in order to show his stamp, it would help a lot. To post a picture on this site, click on Smurf Picture & File Upload near the reply box (it's on the left). To see more about markings and stamps on Smurf figurines, click here: Markings Hoping this shall help! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Your Sailor is really by Schleich, and seems to be a special one. I'm trying to see whether he's some kind of promotional. ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

Thank you for helping out. Been collecting Smurfs since I was in 4th grade--not to collect, but just because they were cool. And now I'm learning a LOT about them. So anything you can find would be awesome.

I found it! Your Sailor is in fact a 20th Anniversary Jubilee Smurf, and part of a collection made on the occasion when the PVC Smurfs were launched in 1965. Each 20th Jubilee Smurf figurine has on the back of the head the year it was release. See more of them here:

The sites belong to Maureen and Christy, two dedicated Smurf collectors. I hope this helps! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)
