I know that Hogatha created "Evil Smurf", and in the downloadable list, it says that Evil Smurf cannot be considered a real Smurf. Why is this? If Smurfette (who was originally created by Gargamel) can be considered a legitimate Smurf (even taking into account Papa Smurf's magic), then why wouldn't Evil Smurf be considered a Smurf?

Also, what episode/comic,etc does Evil Smurf appear in?

The only thing close to that character is the Devil Smurf that appears with the golden goodie tree Greedy comes across in "The Smurfs And The Money Tree", and it's Gargamel's mother who's responsible for the character, NOT Hogatha.

I think you are referring to Hagatha turning herself into a male, tail-less Smurf. Oh, and Smurfette was originally created by Gargamel but Papa Smurf turned her into a real Smurf.

"The Fake Smurf" (featuring Hogatha, named "Snorty" by the other Smurfs) belongs to the Season 1. By the way, in the original Smurf comics the impostor was Gargamel . [Gargamel]
