Welcome to Smurf village, Wkscott! I'm really afraid the Smurfs you ordered are not original. This video belongs to , a Dutch on-line shop which sells Smurf figures not only by Schleich but also from other trades (eg Plastoy).
McDonald's 1998 Schleich Smurfs and Fakes
And here's a website link from a very dedicated Smurf collector, Maureen: http://www.hiddeninthewoods.com/fakemcdonaldsmurfs.html which gives some more details about.
 Fake McDonald's Smurfs
And that's not the only case. Smurf figurines produced from 2005 to 2008 (Halloween, Indian and 50th Anniversary sets) have been exhaustively copied. I say this for I once acquired a 50th Anniversary Smurf set and a little time later I realized they were fakes, just like these below:

One can compare them with the original set depicted here.
I hope this helps! But can you suspend the purchase yet? Please let us know.
