Alright EverySmurf! St. Patrick's Day is commin up soon! One of the best holidays in the year! The Leprechauns, the parades, the cornbeef and hash and Irish Soda bread....I can't see why anyone wouldn't love this holiday!

Traditionally, one of the things that my family likes to do is make a leprechaun trap. If you don't know what that is, just ask and I'll explain it. But anyway, if anysmurf wants to post what they'll do on St. Patty's day or anything at all, here's the place to post it!
Good Sláinte, Well Being, and Ádh mór (luck) To EverySmurf!

Oh, and before I forget: very cute picture of Leprechaun Smurf with his pot of gold, and the green top hat with the handmade ladder is smurfingly well done! And I also have that St. Patrick's Day Smurf. I wish I had some golden coins to give him... ![[Big Grin]](/ubb/biggrin.gif)

Smurfy St. Patrick's day to you all! Imagine if there were no St. Patrick's Day! It is rather hard to, isn't it?
I don't have a whole lot of St. Patrick's Day traditions, but I like to remind myself about St Patrick.

Yes, and St. Stephen's day! According to legend, St. Patrick compared the Holy Trinity to a shamrock, because God is three in one, like a shamrock!

And that's why the shamrock is a symbol of Ireland!

Yes, that's why Ireland mostly Catholic. In the church, they still compare God to a shamrock with the three leaves, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
.......Hee hee...the first time that I learned this was on Veggie Tales for St. Patrick's day.

BTW, my fanfiction character Tapper Smurf's birth name is Naomhán Críostóir Smurf, with his first name being Gaelic for "little holy one".

I like the Veggietales St. Patrick's Day show too! I watch it every year. And those are some good sayings.
I see you changed your signature. Were the bagpipes created in Ireland?

Saint Patrick was born in England to Roman parents before being kidnapped and taken to Ireland. So St. Patrick's Day Could be considered Italian, English, or Irish!

I also heard that it is celebrated in parts of Scotland! In school, for a few weeks, we studied the whole life of "St. Patrick", who was actually kidnapped while with his friend on the beach because he didn't want to go to church that day.
