No it's from the Namco Dig-Dug game!!!

It's called Namco Classic Collection Volume 2. It's from Japan so maybe this is a Japanese Smurf? [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

It just a pure coincidence that this main character called "Taizo Hori"
had the same apparel color as smurf but in the later games like Dig Dug:Digging Strike for Nintendo DS the box-art shown that Taizo Hori actually wear white helmet,red ear cover,blue gloves, white pants and red shoes he's not even blue.
The reason why he's blue in that picture is due to hardware limitation of particular console (SNES for example) so they can't make him to look like the the artwork.

But I gotta admit he looked really cute!
