I just finished my newest Smurf Sampler, which was inspired by an official cartoon here on BlueBuddies where a suntanned Smurfette finds herself the center of attention. I expand the story by adding Vexy and Clumsy, and a very sweet surprise ending.

Nice work Richrod Smurf, I liked most of his version, very creative. The Clumsy always the well with Smurfette. Yes, Clumsy really is a sweetheart. That's why he's right up there with Smurfette as an all-time fan favorite. With or without a Southern accent (I prefer the original voice, BTW), Clumsy is a cheerful, kind fella who sees the best in everysmurf.
I must admit that I shed a tear myself as I inked and colored the final panels where Vexy cries and kisses Clumsy for seeing right through to her sweet little tomboy heart, especially when he tells Vex that he likes to see her happy.
I suppose you could say the other Smurfs ran away because they're not used to the brown hair I gave her , but they're actually chauvinist jerks who can't accept Vexy being a smurfy little riot grrl.
Good thing for her Smurfette has got her back. And a few other Smurfs love and celebrate their new tough kid sister for the spark and energy she brings to the village. As wise Grandpa Smurf told her, "Smurf Village just wouldn't be the same without you, Vexy. You're a very special Smurf with an adventurous spirit and a caring heart. Don't let ANYsmurf tell you otherwise."

Those Smurfs were sure acting like a bunch of Deutschenbaugs, if you know what I mean. It's a good thing Clumsy wasn't like them.
