Okay, I have a few more fan story ideas that are actually variations of existing and familiar Smurf stories...
The Blue and the Gray: a fan-made alternate origin story for Vexy and Hackus, as told by Vexy herself. While making s'mores around a fire pit in the village, Vexy tells a curious Sassette how it really happened when the Smurfling asks how and why Gargamel created the twins in Paris. ("Paris? Where ya smurf that? Hollywood?")
The alternate story is that the two Naughties were created in Gargamel's hovel from the dirtiest, slimiest grey clay from the nastiest swamp in the forest. Instead of stones for their hard hearts, he uses diamonds, an even harder substance for an especially ruthless heart. He makes two of them for twice the mischief. He's got big plans for his little naughties, hence their nickname.
Rather than being terribly vicious and violent, Vexy and Hackus are more like annoying mischief makers that the Smurfs easily outwit and escape from. Vexy and Smurfette actually develop a healthy respect for each other, even though Vex is hell-bent on seducing Smurfette back to the dark side and always failing. Similar to Wile E. Coyote never getting the Road Runner.
The literal hardness of their hearts and the nasty formula that created them, along with Gargy's harsh treatment of them, causes the Naughties to get gravely sick, similar to "Smurfs 2". They are nursed back to health with a watered-down smurfiness potion, experience care and unconditional love for the very first time, and are moved to leave the wizard's clutches and become real Smurfs.
Their transformation is similar to the "Smurfs 2" movie, but I ratchet up the wackiness factor by giving Vexy a supernatural power as a permanent side effect of Gargamel hastily cooking up the potion.
Smurfette Undone: Similar to the episode "Smurfette Unmade" in the TV series, but without Scruple. The little lady physically reverts to her old evil self while sleeping during a full moon by a nasty spell from Gargamel (who else?) to undo her "Smurf essence", but instead she still has her sweet smurfy personality and is scared of what happened. Papa tries to find out what caused the regression, and has her wear a wig to hide her black hair and explain away her big nose and feet with falling out of bed.
Smurfette, however, is struggling to fight the temptation to fall back to the dark side, which she finally does when the Smurflings keep pestering her on her big nose and sudden grouchiness. Long story short, she returns to Gargamel, helps trap her fellow Smurfs... but when Baby Smurf keeps innocently asking "Why?" the wizard plans to make him a baby Naughtie, Smurfette is suddenly at a loss for words and starts doubting all that's going on.
The conflict causes her to ultimately return to her good side once and for all--with a sudden burst of super speed and high-flying sparks that accompany her return back to all things smurfy. Together with Vexy and Wild, they are a deadly combination to take down Gargy and Azrael, who lands on all fours (as cats always do) when the two are catapulted from the hovel. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

A little example of how the wackiness factor is racheted up in "The Blue and the Grey" vis-a-vis the Naughties' transformation:
- Smurfette writes down the ingredients for the smurfiness potion on the spot from memory, on smurf-sized paper, the size of a matchbook. Gargamel complains that her writing is so dainty and tiny that he needs a microscope just to try reading it.
- The transformed Vexy screams to let the Smurfs go, "NOOOOOOOOOWWW!" The force of her yell shakes the hovel to its foundation and shatters every bottle and ceramic piece, as well as Gargy's ringing ears. When she realizes her newfound powers (a la Peter Potamus), she devilishly grins "That was fun! Let's do that again!" A second yell levels the entire hovel to the ground!
![[Smile]](smile.gif) - While Vexy undergoes a dramatic physical transformation, dimwitted Hackus is happy just to have a neater goatee and the same skin color as his sister.
- Earlier in the story, while they are still fighting each other, Vexy and Smurfette humorously chat about how each other is doing, similar to Maxwell Smart and archenemy Sigfried's bizarre respect for each other in the old TV comedy "Get Smart", actually paving the foundation for their future friendship when Vexy becomes a true Smurf.

I was sketching out thumbnails for "The Blue and the Gray" in my notebook, and came up with these adjustments and additions:
- As in the last movie, the Naughties will be dependent on that powerful blue interferon known as "smurf essence", but as described and used in the TV series. Gargamel has to feed Vexy and Hackus drops of the stuff because the especially nasty ingredients he used in their creation make them perpetually sick. And he doesn't like it. One strand of hair from either Smurfette, Grandpa and Nanny makes an ample supply, but Gargy is such a cheapskate he waters it down to make it last longer, making his creatures weaker and sicker.
- To save their lives and nurse them back to good health, Papa and Doctor Smurf make a heavily, heavily diluted essence (like a 1:1,000,000 ratio), then puts a tiny dose of that into a large cup of smurfberry chamomile tea. Giving it to Vex and Hackus at full strength in their critical condition would actually do more harm than good. Their skin turns blue as the medicine immediately goes to work, but returns to gray after they make a full recovery. When Doc asks where they would get a sample for extracting the elusive essence, Papa smiles "Right from the hair of my chinny chin chin!" as he plucks one hair from his beard.
![[Smile]](smile.gif) - Vexy and Hackus start doubting their servitude to Gargy when they wonder why they have to do all his dirty work and he doesn't lift a finger to help them stay healthy. Hackus complains, "Wowzers, sis, he treats Azrael better than he treats us! And Azrael's like treated purty rotten to begin with!"
![[Frown]](frown.gif)
Adjustments to "Smurfette Undone": - After Smurfette blows her top (wig, actually), flips completely to her evil old self, and stomps back to Gargamel's, Vexy is scared she and Hackus might be the next ones to regress (and usually she's not scared of anything), but she bravely reassures the Smurflings their "smurfy aunty" will protect them no matter what. Gargy plans to do just that come the next full moon, but happily that never happens because the bumbling fool gets thrashed about at the end.
- As in the original Hanna-Barbera story, at the end Papa tells Smurfette that deep in her heart, her smurfy good nature is so strong that it cannot be taken away, not even by Gargamel. And the same is said for Vexy, Hackus and even little Sassette.
They are all true Smurfs through and through, and that is that.
