I suspect something like this may have already been posted before on the board, but here's yet another story idea that came to me a few days ago which I have been furiously sketching up:
To Have and to Smurf: Grandpa and Nanny are getting married! They grew up together, loved and respected each other, were separated for centuries by some magical cranky castle, but Grandpa finally popped the question and Nanny said yes. It's a happy and historic occasion that proves you're never too old to fall in love or find the love of your life.
But as always, our friendly neighborhood villain Gargamel plans to unsmurf the nuptials by turning the smurfy senior fiancees against each other and bringing the entire Smurf family into his clutches. And this time he's got his cranky, domineering Mummy to help out. Together they concoct a mind-altering formula that makes Nanny furious at Grandpa for the Castle Captor episode, prompting her to cancel the wedding on the spot. Grandpa suddenly gets starting cantankerous as well. The bickering pair split up, with Nanny suddenly wanting to go to Gargamel's, where he and Mummy turn her into The World's Oldest and Crankiest Naughtie and spring a trap for our little blue friends. But forgiveness, friendship and enduring love prevail at the end.
And they tie the knot after all. In a humorous twist to wedding tradition, Vexy (one of the bridesmaids) rushes at literally the last minute to play "Here Comes The Bride" on her electric guitar because the wedding band doesn't know the tune. "Like, we never had to because we never played a wedding before," Harmony Smurf explains.
More to come. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Great idea, RR! After the episode with the money tree, it sounds to me like all bets are off when it comes to emotional manipulation.
Is it necessary for a second spell on Nanny? Couldn't the first spell do both jobs? Gargy might not think of such a thing, but dear old mummy might. Maybe I'm just missing the connection plotwise.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, that is a classic continuity error that you brought up. Nanny's skin can just turn as grey as her hair under Gargy and Mummy's single spell as she gets crankier and meaner and her heart hardens. Grandpa's valiant effort to rescue her breaks the spell and softens her heart.
On my daily exercise walk, where I get a lot of these story ideas, I recognized that continuity error and fixed it up. If I could ever have this animated, my idea would be to have Grandpa and Nanny singing together "You Make Me Feel So Young". ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
