Aloha, fellow Smurfs--the fanfic ideas just keep on coming, and a lot of your own stories have been inspiring me to conjure up a few of my own. Here's three of them:
"A Smurfette is Born"--a retelling of the episode "The Smurfette" from the original Hanna-Barbera TV series. It's basically the same, except that Smurfette tells the story in flashback to Clumsy and Sassette while working in her garden. Also, I add a little more detail to Smurfette's actual transformation into a real Smurf. Instead of instantly acquiring the girly-flirty Katy Perry personality she's associated with, she's actually terrified of how the Smurfs will react to her new looks since she was once their enemy and they wanted her banished from the village. Gutsy, not surprisingly, is the first Smurf with the guts to complement Smurfette on her new beauty, kisses her hand Prince Charming-style, and welcomes her to the family. A noble Smurf beneath that bellowing brogue.
"Space Race"--an animatic or slideshow music video of the 1972 funk instrumental "Space Race" by Billy Preston, best known for its use on the TV program "American Bandstand". In it, Dreamy Smurf dreams of his Astro Smurf persona, takes off in his smurfy rocket with Smurfette, Brainy, Vexy and Clumsy as his crew. They fly in low orbit, dance in zero gravity, imitate the swaying hand-clap from the show as seen below, meet up with the Grimies in their moon ship, and everyone has an outer-space dance party.
"Purple Bugged"--a retelling of "The Purple Smurfs" from the TV series. As in the original story, all the Smurfs get infected by the vicious Purple Bug. The changes are that the Purple Smurfs keep g'nap-g'napping and biting each other's stubby tails, only to get angrier and more violent because nothing happens. Purple Papa Smurf leads the critters to attack Gargamel, but the Purple Disease has no effect on humans or cats; all Gargamel gets are bite marks. To keep his hovel from being completely thrashed by the violent purple critters, Gargamel pulls out some Hawaiian Tuberose pollen ("An especially sweet scent to bring back their sickly sweet selves") and sprays it on them all to cure them and send them away. An extremely aggressive, hand-biting Papa Smurf is the first to be cured; Gargy rants "Aloha o'e, you purple pit bull!" as he sprays Papa with the Hawaiian pollen. When Gargy pleads with Papa to work together with him to cure all the Smurfs or else they will destroy his hovel, Papa rolls his eyes and slyly grins "Hmmm... not a bad idea..." ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

"Space Race" is already written. It's actually planned to be an Adobe Flash-animated slideshow with no dialogue. The Billy Preston song will be the soundtrack. It starts with Dreamy in his dream as Astro Smurf with his crew--Brainy, Smurfette, Clumsy and Vexy, marching behind in formation and snapping their fingers to the music as they approach the launchpad. The encounter in space with the Grimies is actually a meet-up with old friends rather than a first encounter. The whole vibe of the video would be happy smurfy, just like the song itself. (I also hope to add a completed video to my portfolio of my animation skills; people are starting to take notice already.)
I've already done some quick sketches of "Purple Bugged". The concept of the entire Smurf Village infected by the Purple Bug (g'nap! g'nap!) will actually be humorous slapstick rather than onimous as the Purple Smurfs keep biting each other's tails and getting more violently angry because nothing happens after the bite. They stick their tongues at each other, engage in pie fights, the female Smurfs ![[Smurfette]](graemlins/smurfette.gif) go "Bleah!" at each other over their outfits and hairstyles, and all is very unsmurfy until Purple Papa rallies the troops to vent their anger at Gargamel ("GA-G'nap!"),a convenient scapegoat, who ultimately cures them all to save his hovel from being totally thrashed... which happens anyway when Vexy is cured and unleashes a "super smurfy yell" that literally shackes the ground and blows the hovel to smithereens. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
In my fan stories I've given Vexy this supernaturally smurfy power, a side effect of the rather potent smurfy potion she gulped in "Smurfs 2". I've also changed her hair color to brown as seen below to make her a little cuter and more huggable while still fiercely maintaining her rebellious tomboy streak:

I've yet to hear one negative comment about her brown hair. I can only guess is that all who've seen the new Vexy Smurf really like it; that would be smurftastic if so.
