Topic: Wondered if any could help me indentfiy the age of a couple smurf figures

Hey Smurf fans,
Nice to meet you all.
Over the weekend I came across my Smurf figures, ones that were mainly collected in the 70s and early 80s.
I can find most of them on here, but I have a couple of real basic ones.
Basically they are just a smurf and smurfette head on a plastic base. These were given to me from a older kid in the early 1980s saying that they were the first smurf figures. I doubt this is true, but if you could help me identify what age they are, and where they came from, it would be appreciated.

Welcome bluenose!
It sounds like you have some old Smurf Finger Puppets! There are 6 different Smurfs Puppets in all. Each Smurf Puppet consists of a Smurf head on top of a solid color base. They measure about 2 inches tall.
Smurf Finger Puppets from Italy
The heads and bases are even interchangeable! That's why you'll sometimes see different heads mixed with different bases. The base colors are black, purple, red, yellow, blue and green.
List of Smurf Finger Puppets:
1. Angry / Black Smurf
2. Papa Smurf
3. Smurf
4. Cheeky Smurf (tongue sticks out)
5. Brainy Smurf
6. Smurfette

I forgot to mention that these Smurf Finger Puppets are from the 1970s. You can see the 6 models here in a couple of different Smurf Toy Catalogs...
