Okay, in July 2012...I have watched Joseph Lai's Space Thunder Kids. You all know how awful that movie was, right? I then figured a little later on, that this movie was made out of clips of EIGHT earlier films by Joseph Lai from 1981-1985 and then after they made the compilation of clips together, he got like one or two monotonous voice actors to dub it all! WHAT A HACK JOB! All of those movies were called (in chronological order): The Cosmos Conqueror, Raiders Of Galaxy, Protectors Of Universe, Savior Of The Earth, Cheolin Samchongsa (Iron Man Trio), Defenders of Space, Space Transformer and Solar Adventure.
I have just watched three out of those eight films so far, Protectors of Universe, Raiders of Galaxy and Defenders of Space. They all appeared to be badly made with yes..somewhat monotonous and bland voice acting with some LAUGHABLE scripts, pretty poor animating at times, and although the movies follow the plot pretty good...it sometimes gets a bit random. Also, all of those movies tended to have ideas ripped off of Japanese anime (most notably Mazinger Z), sometimes other movies too. What's really ridiculous is, that Savior of the Earth is an absolute rip off of TRON. And they decided to make the TRON knock off the bad guy in this film as far as I remember. I haven't watched this movie yet, but I heard of those results and saw some clips from this movie appear in Space Thunder Kids. However, I found those movies way better than Space Thunder Kids in my opinion because they are all actually original and the creators of those films actually seemed to put more effort to this than in Space Thunder Kids. Now, those movies are still poorly made, but I found those movies to be SO BAD, it's GOOD! Basically they are all guilty pleasures, and Joseph Lai is my favorite low-budged animation producer. There are quite some hilarious notable scenes on all of those movies I'd have to admit.
Now I have noticed that after watching 3 of his films, I noticed that the bad guys on all of the films... are blue skinned. That leads me into thinking that my favorite bad animation producer hates my favorite cartoon, The Smurfs. Well Raiders of Galaxy had a few blue guys as characters and an evil menace who is also blue-skinned, trying to take over the Solar System, but there were some other enemies too. Some of those enemies tended to remind me of DARTH VADER!!
RAIDERS OF GALAXY Here's Vader, kids! Here's the smurfs.. They don't look so smurfy today! This smurf is planning to take over the Solar System!! But wait a minute, if that's the leader of the smurfs..why isn't he wearing a red hat?
PROTECTORS OF UNIVERSE At last, a smurf drinking smurfberry champagne! Or is it that? Okay, now what on earth is this?! Fu Manchu as a smurf?! (aka Mustach Flunky Guy voiced by TheAJD321 on Space Thunder Kids Abridged)
DEFENDERS OF SPACE Man those smurfs are so twisted-angry today... did they get their hair messed up by Gargamel or something?! Lol, look at that smurf's expression while his ship is exploding. He doesn't seem like he took this mission seriously!

So there, you get that Joseph Lai has something against the Smurfs! It is kind of funny in a way as well as other parts in this film, but wow...Joseph Lai is unsmurfy..yet he is my favorite bad animation producer.
Also bonus feature, remember that smurf drinking smurfberry champagne from "Protectors of Universe"?! I noticed that after he did so, he started dancing for 7 seconds and then fall down, breaking glass! That part just got me laughing out of my chair!!! In fact, I even looped him dancing for 5 minutes on YouTube just for smurfs and giggles:

Speaking of smurfs and Protectors of Universe, I did another one! This time a mix of the "drunken smurf" ringtone and the same scene from Protectors of Universe, except longer and not repetitive. I did some alterations, especially my own edits at the end!
