its a porcelain i love you smurf .. i can find the smurfette but not the smurf i know its hard to get .. please help! i would like to know how rare it is .. its all there looks just like the day i got it

Hi jlrousseau12,
There are two different porcelain "I Love You Smurfs" - the "I Love You" Smurf Figurine and the "I Love You" Smurfette Figurine. They were released in 1982 by Wallace Berrie & Co. They are about 4 inches tall. So cute!
They originally came with a little booklet tag with a Smurf on the front which read, "Smurf Ceramic Collectables". The inside reads, "Welcome to the enchanting world of Smurf Collectables! Each piece faithfully captures a magical Smurf moment in porcelain, that you'll enjoy for years to come."

Due to the delicate nature of the porcelain Smurf Figurines, many of them have been damaged over the years (ie. chips, nicks and cracks). The condition of the figurine really does count towards its value. Obviously a mint condition Smurf will be worth the most... but the Smurfs are still quite collectible even if they aren't perfect.
Also, if it still has the original label on the bottom, it will be worth more. For example, the label will read, "Porcelain Smurfette 1680 (c) Peyo S.E.P.P. 1982 Wallace Berrie & Co. Inc. Van Nuys CA. Made in Taiwan".
