The more I think about Empath Smurf's relationship with Polaris Psyche in the fanfiction stories I've written about them, the more it feels like they're dealing with a forced same-gender marriage neither of the two want but somehow can't get out of because they're telepathically bonded to each other. With my decision of having Psyches of the same gender bond with each other telepathically to become partners since the Psyche Master is solely responsible for all reproduction...and at young ages at that...it's making Psychelia seem a bit more creepy. And what's the real kicker is that the relationships have no emotional or romantic elements at all, and yet Empath considers his relationship with Polaris to be "intimate".

that's an interesting thought Vic. truthfully i never thought it was creepy just sweet, like brothers maybe although i don't know a whole lot of siblings who are really that close anymore... it's sad though because they should be, and when i see movies with brothers who look out for each other (recently Battleship for example) it tends to bring your Empath and Polaris to mind :-) i wish all siblings and friends could be as close as those two.
