Hello and smurfy welcome! By coincidence, I got three Smurfs on-line yesterday and one of them was a Bully! Here's more info about this trademark: link And in this too!

Painter is my first Bully Smurf (yes, he hadn't his tail painted, lol ). The others I have are from Schleich and Hering.

Bully, West Germany, PEYO 4.

I observed he's made from a PVC much softer than the other ones, what makes him somewhat delicate. Is your Gift Smurf (# 20086, by the way) that flexible too? I hope this helps! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

(LAUGH) Don't worry, Stormy! Despite being a 'Bully', Painter is quite sweet and peaceful and I'm sure he'll get along very well with the other Smurfs.
And Smurf-11095, after you told about your Gift Smurf it really appears that Bully figurines are made from a softer material. Concerning the yellow ribbon, it may be a (rare) color variation. This topic can show you more examples. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Hi Smurf-11095,
There are a few different Jokey Smurf figures similar to the one you have. The most common figure is the Schleich Smurf 20086. He has the red bow. Yours is made by Bully and has the yellow / orange bow. There is also a promotional one by McDonalds from 1996 - he has a yellow gift box with a red bow!

Squeaky, your new smurf is a cutie! Maybe he's just shy and doesn't want to show his tail so he tucked it in his pants! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

There is also a Smurfagram (Smurf-a-gram) with the Jokey Smurf figure featured on top! The red base reads, "I've got a SURPRISE for you... Happy Birthday!"

BlueBuddies presents the main variations of all of the Smurf figures. For example, a Smurf with a yellow scarf or red scarf. It does not list all of the subtle paint variations - as that would be an impossibility!
The are many subtle color differences with Smurf figures. For example, the intensity of a yellow (mustard yellow vs bright yellow). Some "variations" are due to the Smurf figures being made by different companies (ie. Schleich vs Bully). Some are due to different paint batches within the same company and still yet the fact that every Smurf Figure is hand-painted.
When figures are painted by hand, no two Smurf figures could ever truly be "exactly" the same! Sometimes you will get a unique Smurf because the painter did something that really stands out (like forgetting to paint the tail).

The link that Squeaky provided is an article all about Bully Smurfs. It shows examples about the differences in paint colors, molds and more!
As was mentioned earlier, the red bow version (by Schleich) is the most common. Your Bully version of the painted bow tends to be in the more orange / dark yellow range. Some collectors enjoy collecting every shade, color and marking of every single Smurf!

Hope this helps!
