I think the smurflings added more adventure into the smurfs. But i do understand that you would have preferred if it stopped sooner. The last season was where the smurfs jumped the shark for me.

Well, for all I have observed since I became a Bluebuddies member, good and clever discussions involving any Smurf subject are most welcome. In my opinion this diversity makes the site get even smurfier!
Despite the Smurflings are not among my favorites, I don't dislike them, they're cute, really (even Snappy with all that mood, LOL) and if there weren't the following seasons (not the last one, please) I wouldn't have the chance of meeting Wild Smurf, Grandpa nor other Smurf friends such as Brenda the little witch or Blue Eyes the winged little horse. Now there's something I'd like to know: since the Season 5 showed the Smurflings' debut and, according to Wiki, their comic book was launched by Peyo in 1988... Could have he been inspired by that season, since it was released in 1985? What then... What's your smurfy opinion, Smurfs? ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

Possibly the case. Wild Smurf didn't have a canon introduction to the comic book series until 1998, and since then has only appeared in a few Schtroumpferies books.
