SMURFS GN VOL 12 SMURFS VERSUS SMURFS (06/27)
(W) Peyo, Yvan Delporte (A/CA) Peyo The Smurfs always seem to get into trouble when Papa Smurf is not around. While Papa Smurf works in his laboratory, two Smurfs begin arguing about the proper use of the word 'smurf.' Smurfs that live in the northern part of the village use it as a verb (as in 'bottle smurfer'), while the southerners use it as a noun (as in 'smurf opener'). Without Papa Smurf around to calm things down, the argument quickly escalates until the northern and southern Smurfs divide themselves along the village lines! With the southern Smurfs set to perform their play 'Little Smurf Riding Hood' for the northern Smurfs, it looks like the language disagreement is going to get worse before it gets better!

"Smurf Versus Smurf" was previously released in English as "Smurf Of One And Smurf A Dozen Of The Other", the story that was included with "The Smurfic Games" comic book by Random House. Parts of the story were used in "The Smurfic Games" special (the division of the village and the way they speak Smurf) and the cartoon show version of "Romeo And Smurfette" (the end part where Papa Smurf and Gargamel switch appearances).
"Smurf Soup" is simply the original comic book version of the episode "Soup A La Smurf", and since that hasn't been published in English yet, this will be its first.

Thanks for the information SmurfFan and Vic! I did not know that Soup Smurf was brand new it makes it even more exciting!!! I have all the new Smurf comics but I can't wait for these!
