In the last several years, Studio Peyo has been publishing a new Smurfs comic story each year, the last story (The Smurfs and the Golden Tree) was published last April. By making a Google Image recently, I learned that Studio Peyo will be releasing a new story titled Les Schtroumpfs De L'Ordre" which will be published at the end of this month. Here is the front cover of this new comic story:
 Les Schtroumpfs de l'ordre
By looking the uniforms of the Smurfs, they represent peace officers, and by making a quick Google Translate of the story's summary that it is involved Papa Smurf creating a police force to keep the peace among the Smurfs. Not surprisingly, Brainy Smurfs is one of the two peace officers depicted in the front cover.

"The Order Of The Smurfs" would be its English title translation. But it looks like it could be better called "Police Smurfs" just by the cover design alone.
Maybe it's me, but the look of Hefty and Brainy wearing partial police garb in the manner of traditional Smurf clothes makes them look like the Village People.

Talking about YMCA... One of the most catchy song ever. At least both Hefty and Brainy looks great on those Police uniforms!

Knowing the pace of the comic stories being released by Papercutz, it may take at least two/three years before seeing this story adapted.

I'd say five or six. Anyway, I want to get my hands on this story soon.

Very smurfy news, really! Their outfits remind me of American police, whereas their colleague's must have been inspired by the British one. ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

By the way, one of the few occasions when these two get along well together. ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)
