I need help adding discription and deatails to my fanfiction. If anysmurf has any way to help me smurf my fanfiction to be better, please tell me what i should do. Also a question, is making a fanfic illegal? If these are trademarked, doesnt that mean we cant use them?

I think if you get stuck with writing details and descriptions in your stories, try stopping and thinking about how you visualise a moment in your head. If something comes to you that you like, write it down. It doesn't have to be perfect right away, or end up being used in the complete story, you can always go back and edit or develop it later on. As long as you have the idea written down, it's a good starting point.
And to answer your question, it's technically not legal, but it's also not something I would worry about. Writing fanfiction is such a common thing, and while some professional authors don't approve of it, I don't think anyone has ever been prosecuted or gone to prison over it. There are actually writers out there who give their blessings to fanfiction based on their own stories and characters, and who have read and liked some of them. Harry Potter and Twilight are two series where fanfiction is extremely popular, and both J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer have given their approval to written fan works based on their series.

Thank you very much!!! Im still stuck but i am a little concerned about my ideas and if i dont read the other fanfictions im stealing their ideas. What can i do to alter the ideas to make them not the same. I have accidently stolen a few ideas from VicGeorge2010 and i dont want to do it again. I am going to need a lot of advice!!!

Do your research before going into it. That's my advice.

Always put a disclaimer warning on the story that it is using licensed property.

Research it and when doing the story try and just sit down and write it when it feels 'right' You can always go back and 'flesh it out'. I find it's good to visualise yourself as the characters, but that's just the way I do it : )
