What adorable little porcelain Smurfs!

The Feves Smurfs are actually part of a French custom.

It is tradition to serve King Cakes (gateau des rois) during the Epiphany season. A small porcelain figure (called a feve) is hidden inside the cake. The person who finds the feve in his or her slice of cake is crowned "king for the day". That person also has the honor (or obligation) of buying the king cake for next year's celebration!

Many different sets of Smurf Feves have come out over the years. The sets typically have a theme to them, just like the annual PVC Smurf Figurines sets typically have a theme. Some of the Smurf Feves examples include: Baby Smurfs, Smurfs on Vacation, Anniversary of The Smurfs... plus many others!
