Hi gang, looks like the best place to ask. I read the post about using blue liquid latex or using blue Ben Nye makeups and such for costuming as a smurf, but for those of you that have done it, how much makeup was used?
I ordered blue liquid latex, but now have heard a lot of bad things about it, that it will likely slough off by the end of the night, develop holes, etc...not to mention ripping out arm hair and body hair. I'll have it, but it seems like it may not be the best option for a male without shaving the whole body and also with the issues about it coming apart before the end of the night.
so, with the Ben Nye creme makeups and such, do any of you have an estimate of how much you used? 1oz? 2oz? This would just be to cover the face, torso, and arms. I've spent days studying makeup and I'm going crazy here. I think i'm just going to stick with good ol' blue creme makeup, but at $20 an ounce, I don't want to buy WAY more than i need.
