Oh boy, yet another game show is in my head & I am imagining smurfs involved in it!
The result being the $10000 Pyramid which first premiered in March 1973.

I will give you the history of the first three variants.
Variant #1: The $10,000 Pyramid CBS Run
Yes, the one that started the whole Pyramid shows thing.
Original Run:
March 26 1973 - March 29 1974
Variant #2: The $10,000 Pyramid ABC Run
Well yeah basically, no Pyramid episodes were aired on April 1974 so they skipped that month & started new episodes on a different channel one month later (May 1974).
Original Run:
May 06 1974 - January 16 1976
Variant #3: The $25,000 Pyramid
So, the $10,000 pyramid sunk down in 1976 & there of course is the $25,000 pyramid which lasted for 5 full years since 1974 (not 1976)!
Original Run:
September 09 1974 - September 09 1979
These are not all of the Pyramid show variants. Of course, the other ones will come in a while & these are just the very first three variants.
Here are the first three color variants (these are not all of the variants).
Color Variant 1 March 1973 - December 1975
So yeah, the set of the show had an orangish-red theme with blue and black accents.
Color Variant 2 December 1975 - Early 1978
Well, the colors have changed & I'll give you the changes:
The theme is now blue.
The blue accents are now gray.
The black accents are now gold.
Color Variant 3 Early 1978 - September 1979
In 1978, the color of the set was changed & lasted until the end of the syndication $25000 pyramid:
The theme is now orangish-red again this time it had a blue area behind.

Here's the 4 minute clip from the premiere week. This is the earliest Pyramid footage to exist. June Lockhart and Meathead Rob Reiner are the celebrities, and June is at the Circle with Bob Lion, the current champion.

Smurfy1for2, thanks for sharing your clip, I give it a 90%. We can also do many other smurf parodies of the pyramids show right?

Even for the $25,000 pyramid parody of our own, the prize can be 25,000 smurfberries!!!

Yeah, I agree squeaky, I hate getting distracted as well.
But look, it is good no matter what! You can always get a chance to fix it if you like!
