I have a Papa Smruf in a green car Mfg. for McD. Back in the 1980's it's been put up somewhere so the kids can't playwith it. Anyways does anyone have and Idea how much it may be worth?? ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Welcome bigben,
I'm not sure which McDonalds car you are talking about... perhaps you mean this green car driven by Papa Smurf?
Papa Smurf Car made by Ertl
There are other Smurf cars from the same series... you can check them out here.
If this isn't your car, can you describe it a bit more? I'll try and see if I can help. ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

Great - I'm glad we could figure which car you have!
As for value...
Condition and collectability are two important factors in determining value.
If the car is in great condition or it is in its original package, it will be worth more. If it is a bit beat up (dents, broken, scratches etc...) is will be worth less. As for collectability, this car would be sought after by both Smurf Collectors (who collect anything Smurf) and Die-Cast Collectors (who collect all types of die-cast metal cars or vehicles).
Your Papa Smurf Car is not the most common nor the rarest of the Smurf ERTL car series. The most common would be the Smurf Car with the mushroom top and the red Smurfette Car. The rarest would be the Smurf Firetruck, Old McSmurf Tractor and Gargamobile. Your Papa Smurf Car falls in the middle with the Handy Smurf Car and Smurf Airplane. I think your value (assuming great condition / no package) would fall anywhere from 8.00 to 20.00+. Say you tried to sell it, sometimes the market is slow and other times the market is hot and you can get a great price.
For example, an ERTL Smurf Tractor (no package / good condition) just sold for $30.00 on eBay only 5 days ago!
Click here to see what prices other ERTL Smurf cars are selling for.
Hope this helps!
