Just saw this...It's a little on the dark side. Needless to say I was shocked when I saw it.

It's well made up, Raven, but really sinister. [Eek!] No wonder that Brad Pitt movie is said to be pretty violent. [Pirate Smurf]

You're right Squeaky [Smile] I am impressed with the animation, but the lighting and theme of this short is very dark. It was almost hard to tell some of the main characters apart.

I barely recognized Brainy, Hefty, there was also Handy...Vanity and Papa Smurf were the only ones that stood out most of all. [Razz]

However the shot of one of the smurfs blowing a bubble of chewing gum was good [Wink]

My, Raven, did you managed to see that? I only remember when Hefty lit up a cigarette after Brainy defeated Vanity... [Viking Smurf]

It was barely noticeable. I just remember seeing a pink bubble expanding then popping from a smurf's mouth, lol. [Wink]

Brainy beating up Vanity was just a little too disturbing [Razz]

Great timing- I just saw Fight Club this week. The scene is very accurate, that's exactly what happened...there's nothin wrong with the lighting, the scene was barely visible in the movie too.
As violent as it was, I loved it! it's insanely awesome...

and disturbing.

Yes, indeed! I've just watched it right now! This appears at :49. Did you see a bearded Smurf - and I don't mean Papa, that one has a black beard - at :43, too?
I also felt a bit uncomfortable watching Vanity being so badly hit. [GNAP!]
However I liked the ironic contrast done with the joyful Smurfs Cartoon original intro.

I agree Squeaky it is well done, and yes I did notice the smurf in the black beard [Smile]

I'd like to know who did it...it seemed the animated short was cut off before the viewer could see credits.

Lots going on in there. The cinematic lighting made for an exciting short.

I agree Squeaky it is uncomfortable in places but it is very well done. [Smile]

brainy would never beat up a smurf and the blood made me want to vomit. Hefty is pretty tuff but i dont think he would ever act that way!I say hefty, handy, papa, brainy, vanity and i think the one that took thier belt off was tuffy.

What?!? Brainy is Calvin! I usually think of either Smurfette (because Blue Eyes' represents Hobbes in Calvin's imagination), Sassette (because Smurfy Lou represents Hobbes in real-life) and Dreamy (due to his imagination) to be Calvin's Smurf counterparts.

Note: This is a joke about the Fight Club/Calvin and Hobbes theory. I hadn't read the C&H comics myself but I did think we should joke about that theory
