I'm still of an opinion that DOES NOT favor the use of Studio Peyo artwork in this collection, which I personally find to be a pale shadow of Peyo's original artwork (the cover image of the Romeo And Smurfette TPB used in the import Smurfs DVD set by Exposure Entertainment being an example of the latter). If Warner Bros. wanted this to be true to the original cartoon series, it should have used Hanna-Barberra styled artwork. That's all I will say for now on the issue.

I watched everything on the first disc, and really enjoyed it all.
I can't wait to watch the second disc.

I´m glad you all finally have the sets. But, I rather wait till they(WB)release Volume 2. That way, I can buy all sets at once. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Is there even news that a Volume 2 set of Season 1 is forthcoming?

I hope there is soon and I hope they just bang each next set out one right after the other. We waited WAY too long for this first set. Now we want the rest ASAP.

Freaky? That was the original 1981-82 season intro sequence as it was, with the original music soundtrack instead of the circus calliope-styled music used in the Australian import release version. They also kept the original style SMURFS cartoon title logo (in Cooper Black font) instead of using the spliced-in modern version. Unless, of course, you're referring to something elese.

I was at Best Buy yesterday helping my dad pick up a new dryer, while we were waiting for them to bring it out I decided to walk over to the new releases section for DVDs and see if there were Smurfs DVDs on the shelves. There weren't any, they were all sold out. I saw the spot where they were supposed to be, but they were all gone. I was happy to see that because it shows that people are buying them up, I wonder if they are selling this good everywhere else. I hope this continues because they should keep releasing the rest if sales do good. I feel pretty good about this. Let us know if you find the same thing happening in stores in your area, it's good reassurance.

When my mom and I went to Wal-mart to buy the Smurfs the first day that they came out for sale, only a few copies were left. We went back there a couple of days ago, and all of the Smurfs DVDs were gone. Yesterday, my dad went to the mall to buy a second copy of the Smurfs DVD, and about one was left. As he was leaving, he looked back at the shelf, and the Smurfs DVD was gone.

This is great news, if this continues WB should keep on releasing these for sure. Just keep buying these up everybody and continue spreading the word and have all your friends and family buy them up as well.
