Scenario: The Smurflings are watching yet another fight between the adult males over Smurfette's affections.
Question: Which of the boy Smurflings is most likely to turn to Sassette and say "Sassette, we can't make any promises, but we'll try not to put you through that when we're grown up"?

Good question. I can only imagine the Smurflings still choosing to stay with each other inside their treestump playhouse when they become grown-up Smurfs, though they would maintain a respectable distance from Sassette as adults living with each other.

Hmmm.... Well, Slouchy seems a bit too slow and slackerish and seems like one who would stay away from that type of conflict. Nat seems too in touch with nature and seems a lot more mild mannered for the conflict. That leaves Snappy. Now to me he lives up to his name and snaps a bit more easily than Nat and Slouchy, so I can picture him being quite the rascal in trying to get Sassette.
So there you have it, I say Snappy.

Nat and Slouchy: "Snappy and Sassette sitting in a tree, S-M-U-R-F-I-N-G; first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a Smurfling in a baby carriage!"
(A line I had them use in the epilogue of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf novel)

I'll have to agree with Vic and Shane. I find that most of the time Sassette can be seen more with Snappy than with Nat and Slouchy, anyway .

YES! I have been noticing that for a while now. Among the four Smurflings it seems that they have a tendency to split off into pairs, and it's always Nat/Slouchy and Snappy/Sassette. Even when they are all together it seems like that.

Actually, I just have Nat and Slouchy tease Snappy and Sassette actually being together in that kind of fashion. In the wedding scene where Sassette gets the bouquet and Snappy gets the garter (which he calls a "slingshot"), Nat amusingly points out that the one who catches the "slingshot" must marry the one who catches the bouquet, and Snappy and Sassette realize that they must marry each other and basically say, "Eeewww...that's gross!"
