Hi Smurf fans! Bonn here.. Brand new to the community. Finally decided to "surf for smurf"
website! Let me tell you why...
I lived over in Germany 28 years ago (husband in Army) and collected all these little blue smurfs. I bought them at a record store in Mainz. Collected every single one they had in the store for 4 years. I have them from the 60's thru '84. Have the little houses, corrals, gas station etc. It's been afew years (about 16) since I even took them out of the tubs and looked at them. I have 300+ Smurfs I think. It's nice to find a website that I can look up values, names, info, stuff like that. You know what.. it makes me want to go look in those tubs again! Look forward to reading more posts. Nice to meet people that actually collect them. They enjoy much more popularity in Europe than they do here. I just didn't realize there were collectors here in America.

Welcome to the forum. It's a great place for connecting to other Smurf fans/collectors. So you haven't looked at your collection since 1991 or 1992 or so? Dang, you should go through those again. Will probably make you feel all nostalgic. Yeah, it seems as the Smurfs are still very popular in Europe, it makes me sad that they haven't been popular here since the television series ended in 1990. When I was in Paris, France in 1999 I remember seeing a Smurf postcard in a postcard stand. I didn't buy it or look for Smurf stuff the week that I was there and I now wish I did.

I mostly collect Smurf media material (books, videogames, videos), but I've been into them since the early 1980s and haven't stopped yet.
