In order to perfect an image after scanning it onto the computer, what software program do you recommend using to finish final touches so it will look professional? ![[Confused]](confused.gif)

I've been mostly using Paint Shop Pros 6 and 7, which are both commercial products and have been replaced by more modern versions of the same thing.

Gee, thanks you two. I'll look to see which program I like better. How much money do these programs usually cost?

Latest edition of Paint Shop Pro will run you up to about $100, though you can probably find it cheaper on Amazon or eBay.

I'm still using Paint Shop Pro version 5 that I got back in October of 1998. I only use it for photos and basic graphics and just never upgraded. It cost me about $90 from Comp USA. Can't believe I'm still using the same version.

Marianamersmurf, you can try something here for free and see if the results are professional enough for you:
pricelessware (free software w/ no spyware)
I've also used PhotoFiltre but I don't think it's listed at Pricelessware anymore (may no longer be available).
