Anyone who thinks that Papa Smurf can't be tempted to do evil because of his wisdom, this picture created for my EMPATH fanfiction short story "Papa's Big Crush" seems to suggest otherwise:

The idea for this interchange happening comes from the cartoon episode "The Master Smurf", where Papa Smurf is confronted by these two warring sides of himself when he finds the second Crown Of The Titans and uses it against Greedy whose mind is controlled by the first crown -- except that the devilish Smurf and the angelic Smurf weren't depicted in the fashion that they are depicted in this picture. The angelic Smurf in that episode told the devilish Smurf that Papa Smurf could never be tempted because of his wisdom -- which to me deserved an honest rebuttal given the nature of Papa Smurf's temptation in my EMPATH fanfiction short story "Papa's Big Crush" where he's confronted with his own desire to go after Smurfette with this "pheromone cologne". After all, King Solomon in the Bible had great God-given wisdom, and yet he still fell into idolatry when he married more women than even a Godly man should ever have in a lifetime.
As for who would do the voices of these conflicting sides of Papa Smurf as they appear in this picture, I still imagine them being done by Don Messick, despite his "eternally unavailable" status, so to speak.

I still say actor John O'Hurley would be the next best choice to pull off a good Papa Smurf voice.

If there's nobody else who can do Papa Smurf's voice the way Don Messick did it, I'd say John O'Hurley would be suitable enough.
