The other day I found a user on DeviantArt who has excellent Smurf fan art. Raven Child is also aware of them as well. http://divinesheep.deviantart.com/
I suggested a picture involving Sweepy Smurf and also to do a picture of the Smurfs in a pie fight (one of my favorite jokes you all know by now I'm sure). I was in for a real treat when I came home last night after a long day out at a festival. She did a picture of Sweepy Smurf pied and the drawing is awesome. It's so good to see a new picture of Sweepy Smurf.
It would be interesting to see Vic George and Raven Child do their version of Sweepy. Maybe include this character in your future fan fictions.

This is indeed a cute pic...I don't really remember Sweepy...Did he have an accent? If you have a copy of the episode with this character in it that might inspire me enough to add him in my next and final smurf fanfiction story after I finish "How Things Smurf".
Thanks for sharing this pic, btw... ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I do have Sweepy appear in a non-speaking role as part of the Barber Smurf Quartet (along with Miner, Barber, and Tapper) in the EMPATH story "Smurphony Of The Night", singing a portion of the Smurf version of "If You Knew Suzie".

Vic, that is really cool, that sounds very Smurfy. I don't suppose you have an image of this? If not, perhaps it would be cool to consider drawing this for your image collection?

Yes, Sweepy did in fact have an accent. Back in the 80s when I fist saw the episode I remember my mom saying it was an English accent. More recently online I've seen mention that his accent was Australian and another mention that his accent was British Cockney. So which is it? I'm not sure. I had updated the Wikipedia entry to say both.
I do have a copy of the episode on my computer, I'll see if I can get that online later. It's truly one of my favorite episodes, I couldn't help but feel total sympathy for the character as he wasn't treated very nicely at first. The character won my heart, what can I say?

That is awesome. You just made this today? It's very Smurfy, thank you. What an awesome concept having the lesser known Smurfs together like that. Good job on the picture. I like it a lot.

Just a reminder: Tapper is actually a fanfiction creation of mine, who is the village bartender of his own tavern in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf stories. If he were to be a cartoon show creation, he would be one who has an Irish brogue. The type of hat he wears is supposed to be a Smurf version of a soda jerk hat.

Oh yeah, that's right. I knew that. I remember Tapper from your artwork.
So is Tapper supposed to be an additional added Smurf in your story line, or is he supposed to be one of the 56 Smurfs that are un-named and un-accounted for?

Most likely one of the 56 other unaccounted-for Smurfs, which was my intention with him.

Speaking of getting pied...

"Are you going to eat that pie, or are you going to wear it?"

LOL! That's hilarious, thanks for posting that. I remember this episode, it's the one where Handy's machine threw that pie at Papa Smurf. There is another episode that I have where Clohydrus stole all the Smurf's sense of humors and at the end when Papa Smurf was at stage putting on a comedy show to try to make the Smurfs laugh, Baby Smurf made a pie fly into Papa Smurf's face. Pretty funny stuff.
