Greetings.. I'm new here and I think I've gone to heaven! I get teased for being such smurf fan. I do have a question and I couldn't find anything on this site about it (please point me in the right direction if I missed it) about the smurf of the month club. I was a member back in the 80's and I still have my old newsletters and my certificate saying I'm a member. I just found it in storage so I'm thinking it needs to be framed and hung on my wall somewhere really noticeable so I can brag. Anyway, I wanted to know if there are any other members out there from back in the day..

Hi, Andi.
I've been a fan of the Smurfs ever since I saw them on Cartoon Network during the early 2000s.
Welcome to the board. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Hi Andi, Welcome
I've always loved the smurfs growing up in the 80's, my favorite has always been Hefty! My only issue I had of the smurfs was that there hadn't nearly been enough smurfettes, so I had created my own village of them (I posted my updated drawn versions and stories "The Smurfette Village", "Return to the Smurfette Village", and "How Things Smurf" that I wrote can be found on my website www.theravenchild.com)
Hope to hear more from you, Take Care. Raven Child.

Thank you everyone for the greetings..
Sassette.. yes that is what I mean! Do you know if it's still around? Probably not. I was just so thrilled when I found my old newsletters. My friends and family just couldn't fully appreciate my enthusiasm (they think I'm nuts for still collecting smurfs). I would never sell my newsletters but I wander if they are worth anything..

That is soooo smurftastic that you still have all of your old Smurf Newsletters! It is great that you kept them all of these years. It must bring back some smurfy memories!
Do you remember this?
 Smurf Fun Club Patch
The patch was one of the items you got for being member. I think I have the badge somewhere too! I'll put up a picture once I find it!!!

I do remember the patch but I haven't seen it amongst all my stuff or I put it on my school bag and the bag got tossed out. In the newsletter they would highlight a different smurf and put it in a portrait. I remember thinking that was the coolest ever because it was in a frame and everything so I would cut them out and "hang" them on my wall. I still have the cutouts so I'm thinking of putting them in a real frame to hang on my wall

That would be neat to put the Smurf portraits in frames - you could have your very own Smurf art gallery!
Here's the badge from the Smurf Fun Club that I was talking about...

I have been a huge fan of the Smurfs since they first showed up in the US. I never joined the Smurf fan club. I wish I had. It would of been Smurfy to get all that cool stuff! I don't see much of the fan club member stuff around so it has to be worth something. The club probably ended when the Smurf series stopped playing.

Help please! I have the original Official Smurf Fun Club package. Do I have everything: envelope, one large poster, 2 small posters, bumpersticker, 3 stickers, 1 patch and an introductory issue newsletter?
I believe I am missing the membership card and certificate?
I have searched on Ebay, Facebook, etc and cannot find anyone selling this to get an idea what I should sell it for.
Thanks for any help you can give me!
