i need to know if anyone remembers an episode involving the evil green smurfs? they may have been saying "gnap, gnap" or "knap, knap" I think that they were stung by an insect or somthing. your help is appreciated!!

Actually, there was an episode with purple smurfs. ![[GNAP!]](graemlins/gnap.gif) What happened was Lazy Smurf was bitten by a purple fly, and one by one the other smurfs became infected. Shortly before Papa Smurf became infected (and thus the lone survivor), a cure to reverse the process was made. However, a lab explosion caused the cure to become a thick cloud, thus curing all of the smurfs. This was originally done with black smurfs, but it was changed to purple in 1981 for the television series. ![[Smile]](smile.gif) ![[Smurfette]](graemlins/smurfette.gif)
As for green smurfs, they were actually Swoofs.
