Im new to this site, but I have read over some of the old postings...Anyways, after reading them it seems that alot of you want to see more of the smurfs back on TV. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it aswell, but Im not so sure in a sense. I like the way that smurfs have become this somewhat forgotten thing to some people. It makes loving them and collecting them more fun in ways. Its more of a challenge and I appreciate them so much more when I find them. I think that if they were back on TV and became popular that it would lose some of its touch, not all of course, or even most, because well, I love them so darn much. I was wondering how you all feel....? ![[Confused]](confused.gif)

Hi Vanity,
You make a good point.
The Smurfs are on TV however, every week day (check out the Boomerang program schedule here), although that applies to the US/Canada only...
That being said, I don't think I'd be happy if I wandered into my local Safeway grocery store and found "The Smurfs" lining every single Point-Of-Sale area, like Strawberry Shortcake does right now (you should see my local stores...it's berry overwhelming!)
On the other hand, the fact that there are no new products at Toys'R'Us, Wal*Mart, etc. is not a good sign either - it allows the T-Shirt and DVD pirates to thrive. New, legitimate products are needed!
Well, what does everyone else think? Don't the Smurfs deserve to be a mass-market sensation? Or should they remain a hidden niche product?
