Most of the time, they use a stork or a crane. Homnibus allowed the Smurfs to use one of his boots for traveling around the globe in the "Smurfquest" four-part episode. Grandpa Smurf had a magic balloon he used in one episode that would take its passengers wherever they wanted to go. And of course, there's the magic crystals that were part of a key that allowed the Smurfs to travel through time in the last season's episodes.
