does anyone know who composed Gargamel's theme music. I think it was a russian composer. I'm looking to download it.

I have heard that Cesar Franck had something to do with the music on the smurfs.

i think it was rimsky korsakov, but i can't remember what the gargamel theme sounds like exactly. this track reminded me of it very much.

Richard is almost right. They would start with Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, but then they'd go into Franz Schebert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor, ("Unfinished"), 1st Movement. It was really the "Unfinished" that was used for Gargamel on The Smurfs.

Also, if you listen to Sviatoslav Richter's "Piano Concerto 1: In E Flat," you will hear Gargamel's *exact* theme music near the middle. Perhaps this was an inspiration as well...
