Hi folks! I'm new to Blue Buddies but not to collecting. I've been working in and around the toy industry for about 30 years, reporting, taking pics and selling (as is inevitable with this hobby it seems!) I particularly love a good mystery and this week, that mystery is in the SMURFS universe! Scouring the internet (see doom scrolling) I came across a sale for a Smurfs case stocked with early but fairly common figures. What caught my eye is the entire presentation. A well made handle at the top..well placed and not slapped on velcro closure..removable levels with the 78' or older smurfs attached to each one with a black nub on the bottom and the best part...SUPER old Smurfs art on the front. The entire presentation screams of being something company reps would show off to potential buyers and the 78' year on the back with "Wallace Bernie" cements it, seeing as this was the year Smurfs came to the states if I'm not mistaken. The set is on its way to me and is going to need some TLC but by the time I'm done restoring it, it should be very pretty!
