New to the forums but am curious about a few things for the fans who have been fans for along time. What are your thoughts on the new characters and the upgraded versions of the Smurfs compared to how they were in the original? Also are Papa Smurf/Brainy/Hefty the most popular? Because I’ve noticed they’ve been in every version and movie. I’ve been a fan of Brainy since the 80s series but admit I prefer the updated versions of since the lost village. Any who if any one could respond to my question that’d be great.

I like them all! I thought the story in the Lost village took some getting used to. I had a hard time with Willow but I love the characters! For the 80s I love Brainy and Clumsy! I thought the got those characters perfect.

I thought the Smurf Girls were good additions to the comic book canon, even if other older fans may prefer the male Smurfs to be "real Smurfs" while female Smurfs like Smurfette and Sassette are magical creations. The Smurf Girls make me think of the female Smurfs from Raven Child's The Smurfette Village series of stories, but lighter in tone.
