I remember this episode SO well and was my favorite episode of SMURFS when I was a kid. My VCR tape of it just broke and I am looking for another VHS or DVD of this. Can anyone help?

Smurfquest (Parts 1 to 4) (Season Premiere)
Grandpa Smurf returns to the village from a 500-year voyage around the world to restore the power of the Long Life Force Stone. Papa Smurf and a few other Smurfs help Grandpa Smurf find the purest sources of the four primal elements from around the world while the remaining Smurfs stay behind to search for the Long Life Force Stone.

I really liked these 4 episodes as well. I remember first seeing it and thinking that Grandpa might have died and felt pretty sad about it, but then it turned out he was alive! Anyway, I had these on VHS when I taped the show from TV. I hope they release season DVD boxed sets soon, because that's the only logical way I can see them releasing this.

The Smurfquest is a seires of 4 episodes where The Smurfs must gather 4 pure elements such as water, wind, fire, and ground, to "recharge" the Long Life Force Stone which is the source of their lives. They have 24 hours to complete their mission, if they fail, the power of the stone will disappear and The Smurfs will die. They are traveling to 4 different parts of the world using a magic shoe which Homnibus gave them to help them on their way. You can also check it in the cartoon episode guide, i belive this is the beginnig of the sixth season. Hope it helps [Wink]

This 4-part episode was never sold commercially in the United States, and it's hardly shown in the syndicated Smurfs Adventures TV show because of that (unless somebody has seen the parts of that episode play in that format).

This is one of the few episodes I'm missing.

It's not released in any format, and it's not shown on TV anywhere in the world in any syndication packages.

It's one of the few episodes that was shown as a mini-movie all edited together on a premium channel in the 1980s (Disney Channel, HBO, Showtime).

If somebody has this on tape, even a broken tape, I'd repair it and convert to DVD for us both, digitally restored with the highest possible audio and video quality. E-mail me at yahoo.com, lordsmurf@.

We may never see this series released to DVD. I've never seen this episode. I missed it the few times it was shown in the 1980s.

Thanks!
